Hôm nay chúng ta cùng tìm hiểu một số thành ngữ với số thứ tự trong giao tiep tieng Anh nhé. 

À, mà trước hết các bạn có nhớ số thứ tự trong tiếng Anh không, lưu ý là chúng khác số đếm nha. 1- first, 2 - second, 3- third, 4 -fourth, 5 - fifth.... rồi, còn lại ai quên thì mau mở từ điển ra tra nhé; còn giờ thì tập trung học mấy thành ngữ hay ho này nè.

- to have second thought: đổi ý

vd: At first, she liked him, but now she's beginning to have second thought.

- in her seventh heaven: vô cùng sung sướng

vd: She was in her seventh heaven when she actually met hr favourite film star. She will never forget it.

- to play second fiddle: bị xem nhẹ

vd:  He likes to be on his own boss. He'll never agree to play second fiddle to anyone else.

- at the eleventh hour: vừa đúng lúc

vd: Our financial problems were so great that we thought we'd have to sell our house, but at the eleventh hour, my father in law lent us some money.

- on first name terms: thân mật

vd: It's a very friendly company to work in. Everyone is on first name terms.

- third degree: bức cung, tra tấn

vd: The security forces denied accusations that they had used third degree on prisoners to make them confess.

- third - rate: kém phẩm chất

vd: No, it wasn't a very good film. In fact, it was pretty third rate.

- sixth - sense: giác quan thứ sáu

vd: He was brilliant journalist who seemed to have a sixth sense which told him when and where something important was going to happen.
